The X Multimedia system for Unix
When you start up XMMS, you will get a neat console very similar to that of WinAmp. On the top is the window title bar.There are controls for Play state: Paused, Stopped, or Playing, for time elapsed in the current song and for the spectrum analyser. There are many other utilities.
