GUI text editor for workstations with X Windows and Motif
NEdit provides all of the standard menu, dialog, editing, and mouse support, as well as all of the standard shortcuts to which the users of modern GUI based environments are accustomed. For programmers, NEdit provides automatic indent, block indentation adjustment, parenthesis matching, and Unix ctags processing. It also allows split windows for simultaneous edits on the same file and syntax highlighting. This release adds a new optional tabbed interface to minimise desktop space usage when editing multiple files.
