A self-documenting, customisable, extensible text editor
It can be run on a standard terminal or under X. If run under X, it provides its own menus and convenient bindings to mouse buttons using a GTK+2 interface. It incorporates various features, including facilities for handling e-mail, support for program development, and running subshells.

There are run-time dependencies that need to be installed first. Why not use depothelper to install them all in one go?
