hxwd - Huge X Window Dumper. version 1.0, Tianhua Han, Sun May 25 18:21:29 EDT 1997
this is a program to dump a huge x window bigger than a screen; but
it also works for smaller windows. i have tested it on olwm (openwin),
olvwm, twm, tvtwm, fvwm95 and ctwm. it saves the image in xwd or xpm
format.
the motivation behind this work is: we are using veritas volume manager
in our environment. but due to the poor design of its gui interface, the
window is sometimes bigger than a screen and there is no built-in print
option. while of course you can reduce its size, this will present scroll
bar instead of the content. all the current snapshot tools as far as i
know doesn't give us a workaround. we cannot tolerate scroll bar in our
hardcopied documents. so i developped this tool.
