An ascii-art image pnm browser
PNM is a graphics format similar to GIF, JPEG, PNG etc. Aview uses it because of its simplicity. Many conversion tools from other graphics formats exist so you should use aview to browse images in many graphics formats. Aview is especially useful with the lynx browser.

There are run-time dependencies that need to be installed first. Why not use depothelper to install them all in one go?
