This is a Xlib implementation of Hearts-like card game, pig driving.

Pig driving (Gong3Zhu1) is a popular card game in China. It can be
played by three to eight players. This implementation is for four
players.

The rules of the game are quite similar to Hearts and are explained
in the man page pig.man.

The program made use of the pixmap designed for card game Spider
written by Don Woods and Dave Lemke.

It has a talk utility to let players talk to each other by typing into
a window, and every player can monitor any other player's typing. So
the talk utility works like conferencing. This is very useful if the
players are not at the same location, say two in Vancouver and the other
two in Toronto.

This implementation only requires Xlib (X11.R4) to run with. It has been
compiled and run on
    Color/Mono SUN3/60
    Color/Mono SPARC-1
    Mono X-terminal

This program is composed of 9 source files, 5 include files, and 8 bitmap
include files. Bitmap include files are kept in the subdirectory bitm.

% History: Spider is a solitaire card game that can be found in various books
% of same; the rules are presumed to be in the public domain. The author's
% first computer implementation was on the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab
% system (SAIL). It was later ported to the Xerox Development Environment.
% The card images are loosely based on scanned-in images but were largely
% redrawn by the author with help from Larry Rosenberg.

% This program is written entirely in NeWS and runs on OPEN WINDOWS 1.0.
% It could be made to run much faster if parts of it were written in C, using
% NeWS mainly for its display and input capabilities, but that is left as an
% exercise for the reader. Spider may also run with little or no modification
% on subsequent releases of OPEN WINDOWS, but no guarantee is made on this
% point (nor any other; see above!). To run Spider, feed this file to 'psh'.
